Rosberg: Important to break Hamilton momentum

Mercedes AMG Petronas Championship leader Nico Rosberg says that it was important for him to break the momentum harboured by Mercedes team-mate Lewis Hamilton. Hamilton won four races in a row but was beaten to pole position and the win in Monaco by Rosberg. That result also left Rosberg four points clear of the Brit in their battle for the world title. "Lewis drove really, really well and pushed me massively hard but I kept it cool and was able to take the win," said Rosberg. "He has been on top of his game so it was important for me to break his momentum last weekend. I now have the lead again in the World Championship which is great.
