Pirelli Motorsport Director Paul Hembery admitted that the tyre supplier is willing to experiment with wider tyres in an attempt to re-balance aerodynamic and mechanical grip. Earlier this season, Felipe Massa suggested that Formula One could benefit from introducing wider tyres while also reducing downforce, which would enable the cars to follow each other through corners far more efficiently.
