Toro Rosso modifies exhaust system ahead of Canadian Grand Prix

Toro Rosso has modified the exhaust system of its 2014 car – the STR9 – ahead of the Canadian Grand Prix after both of its drivers were forced to retire with exhaust related issues in Monaco two weeks ago. Both Jean-Eric Vergne and Daniil Kvyat had been running in the points before the exhaust problems struck, forcing both drivers to retire from the race. To avoid a repeat of the failures that caused both of its cars to drop out of the Monaco Grand Prix the Faenza-based outfit has manufactured new exhaust systems for both of its cars for this weekend’s race in Montreal.
