Pirelli announces tyre nominations up to Hungary

Formula 1′s tyre supplier Pirelli has announced the tyre nominations for the Austrian, British, German and Hungarian Grands Prix. The sport returns to Austria this season for the first time since 2003. The Red Bull Ring's smooth tarmac and need for mechanical grip means Pirelli will bring the two softest compounds to the circuit. The red-banded super-soft and the yellow-marked soft tyres will be used at the Austrian Grand Prix. It will be the third race in a row that this combination has been used, after the same compounds were taken to Monaco and will be used at this weekend's Canadian Grand Prix.
