Top Five Races: Kimi Raikkonen
This weekend’s Canadian Grand Prix will see Kimi Raikkonen line up on the grid to start the 200th F1 race of his career.
The Finn burst onto the F1 scene in 2001 with Sauber, despite only competing in 23 single seater races in feeder series. He impressed and secured a drive at McLaren for the following season, scoring four podiums, before going on to win his first F1 race at the 2003 Malaysian Grand Prix.
Despite only taking one victory, his consistent top three results meant he just missed out on the world title to Michael Schumacher by two points. A tough 2004 season saw him fail to score points nine times, although he did secure a stunning win at the Belgian Grand Prix.
