Pirelli announces future tyre choices
Pirelli Motorsport Media
Tyre supplier Pirelli has revealed their compound choices for the next four events.
The softest compounds - the super soft and soft - will be taken to Formula 1's return to Austria in two weeks' time, to deal with the high mechanical grip levels and comparatively low tarmac roughness.
In contrast, the two hardest compounds - the medium and hard - will be used at the British Grand Prix due to the high energy loads being driven through the tyres.
For Germany, the red banded super softs and yellow banded softs will be used, while the softs and mediums will be raced on at the Hungarian Grand Prix at the end of July.
