Newey extends Red Bull contract

Red Bull/Getty Images Red Bull has confirmed that it has extended its contract with chief technical officer Adrian Newey, although his focus will no longer be fully on Formula 1. Newey joined the team at the start of 2006 and has been an integral part in Red Bull's rise to becoming a front runner with the team winning four titles between 2010 and 2013. Rumours were rife that Newey was considering parting company with the team, but the announcement means that he will remain with the reigning champions for the foreseeable future, although he will now also work on other Red Bull projects.
