Webber: First win for Ricciardo is incredible

Mark Webber has been quick to heap praise upon compatriot Daniel Ricciardo following his maiden grand prix victory at the Canadian Grand Prix last weekend. Webber drove for Red Bull between 2007 and 2013 before deciding to walk away from the sport and move into endurance racing with Porsche. Ricciardo was selected as his replacement and promoted from Toro Rosso ahead of this season, and has made a fine start to life alongside Sebastian Vettel at Red Bull. Ricciardo capitalised on Mercedes' struggles in Montreal on Sunday to beat Nico Rosberg and win in F1 for the first time, and Webber was pleased to see him take to the top step of the podium.
