'Double points could decide title'

Formula 1's new double-points rule could play into Lewis Hamilton's hands after the Brit lost ground to Nico Rosberg in Canada. In what is proving to be a closely contested battle between the Mercedes drivers for the World title, Hamilton's chances suffered a blow in Montreal. Brake failure meant the 2008 Champion failed to finish the grand prix while Rosberg, the most consistent driver on the grid, brought his W05 home in second place. The result meant that Rosberg, who has yet to finish lower than second this season, extended his lead in the Championship to 22 points over his British team-mate.
