Formula 1 rejects weekend overhaul plans

Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula 1 race weekends will retain their current timetable in 2015 after the sport's key figures rejected proposed plans to alter Friday practice. It was revealed during the Canadian Grand Prix weekend that plans would be proposed to cut the first practice session on Friday in favour of one session later in the afternoon. It was thought that this move would cut expenses for the majority of the Formula 1 paddock, however these plans have been rejected by the Formula 1 Commission.
