Standing re-starts will be implemented next season after the FIA ratified a number of rule changes for 2015. The World Motor Sport Council met in Munich on Thursday to discuss proposal for next season. Amongst those was the introduction of standing re-starts. The idea, who was first touted earlier this month, has been given the go-ahead. There will, however, be two exceptions. Standing re-starts will not apply if the Safety Car period is within the first two laps of the race or the last five.
