Readers against standing restarts rule

– The majority of GPUpdate.net readers are opposed to Formula 1's newly-ratified standing restarts rule.From the 2015 season, a Safety Car period will be followed by a standing restart, except if it has been deployed within two laps of the start – or any given restart – or if there are fewer than five laps of the race remaining.In a website poll, 71 per cent of voters were against the plan, one of numerous tweaks to the regulations.See also: Formula 1 needs to be boring in order to thrill
