F1 drivers opposed to introduction of standing restarts – Ricciardo

Daniel Ricciardo has confirmed that Formula 1 drivers were approached ahead of the controversial introduction of standing restarts, with the Australian admitting that the response was widely negative. As of 2015, standing restarts from the grid will follow the deployment of the safety car, after the World Motor Sport Council approved the proposal last week.
