'McLaren should've given Perez more time'

Force India deputy team principal Bob Fernley believes McLaren made a mistake to get rid of Sergio Perez after just one season. McLaren signed Perez for the 2013 campaign on the back of some impressive displays for Sauber, but he lasted only one year with the Woking squad opting to replace him with rookie Kevin Magnussen. The Mexican struggled during the first few months at McLaren, but improved during the latter half of the season and Force India decided to snap him up on the back of that.
