Renault restructures amid Red Bull pressure

Engine supplier Renault has restructured its management following a season wherein it has received plenty of flak from champions Red Bull. Renault’s new power units this season have been pegged as the cause of Red Bull’s inability to challenge the dominant Mercedes with the French manufacturer’s three other customers too facing plenty of reliability and performance issues. Jean-Michel Jalinier, president and managing director of Renault Sport F1, left the company having decided to “exercise his right to retirement for personal reasons” with his position taken over by Jerome Stoll, who also retains his role as chief performance officer and group sales and...
