Pastor Maldonado has been excluded from qualifying for the British Grand Prix, owing to a technical infringement. Maldonado, who had originally qualified 15th, has been disqualified after the FIA race stewards failed to secure a sample of fuel from the Venezuelan’s car during post qualifying scrutineering. “Car 13 [Maldonado] is excluded from the results of qualifying,” reads a statement from the FIA. “There was insufficient amount of fuel to provide a 1.0  ltd fuel sample and therefore this is in breach of the… FIA Formula One Technical Regulations.” The Lotus driver unexpectedly stopped on track in the dying moments of the second part of qualifying, which he later explained...
