Alonso admits Ferrari slow to react

Fernando Alonso believes Ferrari was slow to react to other teams during qualifying for the British Grand Prix. Ferrari had a nightmare session as both cars dropped out in Q1 having left it too late to emerge from the pits to try and set a time on dry tyres, with rain in the closing minutes scuppering any hopes of progress. Reflecting after the end of qualifying, Alonso said the team had definitely taken the wrong approach but said it looked more obvious in hindsight than it was at the time. “We know that there were two Williams and two Ferraris out of Q1 so definitely we did something wrong compared to other teams,” Alonso said. “When both cars are out of one session like this it's...
