But, it was not to be as Red Bull’s Daniel Ricciardo denied him by a limited four-fifths of a second. Following the race the Brit says that he would have been on podium with another lap, as he was lapping significantly faster than his nearest rival Ricciardo during the final spell, with the advantage of much fresher tyres. “Circuits with high-speed changes of direction aren’t really our car’s forte, so I think we can go away from Silverstone feeling encouraged by what we achieved this weekend....
