Bianchi to replace Raikkonen for post-British GP test

Jules Bianchi will replace Kimi Raikkonen for the second day of testing at Silverstone this week, following the Finn’s violent crash at the British Grand Prix. Raikkonen crashed heavily at the entry to the Wellington Straight on the opening lap of Sunday’s grand prix, bringing the race to a halt owing to the damage caused to the crash barrier. The Finn experienced a force of 47G in the impact, sustaining bruising to his knee and ankle, with Ferrari opting to rest him to ensure his fitness ahead of the German Grand Prix in two weeks’ time.
