Rosberg signs “multi-year” Mercedes extension

Nico Rosberg has committed his future to Mercedes after signing a new “multi-year” contract with the team. While it was rumoured that a new deal had been agreed much earlier in the season, Mercedes announced on Wednesday that the contract was only signed on 14 July. The announcement – which comes ahead of this weekend's German Grand Prix – extends Rosberg's stay with the team he joined when it returned to F1 in 2010 and he said he hopes to fight for championships over the coming seasons.
