Nico Rosberg was delighted to claim pole position at Hockenheim, but admits he would've preferred to go head-to-head with Lewis Hamilton in qualifying. The German will start his home race in P1 ahead of the Williams duo of Valtteri Bottas and Felipe Massa while his Mercedes team-mate Hamilton will be down in P15. Hamilton lost control of his car in Q1 and went sliding into the barriers, forcing him to miss the final two qualifying sessions.
