Boullier rubbishes claims McLaren pushed for FRIC ban

Eric Boullier has rubbished suggestions that McLaren was the main team to push for the FRIC suspension system ban. The Frenchman, who joined the Woking-based outfit as race director at the start of the year, admitted that the team's system was not as advanced as its rivals. FIA technical delegate Charlie Whiting sent a letter to the teams last week stating that the system was in breach of the regulations and could be challenged at the Hockenheimring, prompting all 11 outfits to remove FRIC.
