Nico Rosberg admitted he was surprised to win the German Grand Prix so easily and not be challenged more closely by Williams. Although Rosberg started from pole position he had only been 0.2s clear of Valtteri Bottas in qualifying and saw Bottas retain his second place at the start of the race.
