Button puzzled by Hamilton approach

McLaren-Mercedes Jenson Button was at odds to explain Lewis Hamilton's thinking during the German Grand Prix after their pair made contact while scrapping over position. Button was ahead of Hamilton on track when the Mercedes driver made a move into the hairpin as Button took a wide approach to take a late apex. Hamilton hit the McLaren, causing damage to his own front wing, and later admitted that he thought Button was allowing him through.
