Lewis Hamilton was fastest in the first practice session at the Hungaroring. He was nearly 2 tenths ahead of his teammate and another 4 tenths clear of Kimi Raikkonen. Fourth fastest man of the morning, Fernando Alonso was already more than a second off of Hamilton's pace, emphasizing the performance gaps among the field as teams and drivers get to grips with the twisty Hungarian circuit.
