Mercedes dominates FP1 in Hungary

Lewis Hamilton was fastest in the first practice session at the Hungaroring. He was nearly 2 tenths ahead of his teammate and another 4 tenths clear of Kimi Raikkonen. Fourth fastest man of the morning, Fernando Alonso was already more than a second off of Hamilton's pace, emphasizing the performance gaps among the field as teams and drivers get to grips with the twisty Hungarian circuit. As the session went on, the track got rubbered in and times became clearly quicker, allowing to expect the cars to speed up in the remainder of the weekend.
