Mercedes still keen to turn up F1 volume

The unsuccesful vuvuzela style exhaust bolted on to Nico Rosberg's Mercedes W05 during Barcelona testing earlier this year Mercedes boss Niki Lauda has put his mind to the problem of Formula 1′s dwindling television and spectator audiences. Before the sport breaks for the summer, key meetings will take place this week, including the brand new ‘popularity working group' reportedly headed by Flavio Briatore. But Formula 1 legend and Mercedes team chairman Lauda doubts the sport needs the former crash-gate protagonist to solve the sport's problems.
