Pat Symonds says the progress made by Williams Martini Racing since his arrival at the team as technical director last July has been better than expected. The Grove-based outfit scored just five points and finished ninth in the constructors' championship last year. However, a team has enjoyed a turnaround in fortunes this season and is currently fourth in the standings with 135 points after 11 races.
