Hamilton hopes his luck has changed ahead of Spa

Championship contender Lewis Hamilton is hoping that his luck has changed ahead of the final eight races of the 2014 Formula 1 season. The 2008 world champion currently trails Mercedes teammate Nico Rosberg by eleven points at the top of the standings, but has suffered a great deal of misfortune so far this season. He has been sidelined in qualifying at the last two grands prix, but on both occasions managed to fight back from a low grid slot to finish the race in third place. In Hungary, Hamilton had to start from the pit lane, and his race very nearly ended at turn two when he spun and nearly crashed into the wall.
