Chilton offered up seat as a 'goodwill gesture'

SPA-FRANCORCHAMPS, August 22nd, 2014 (F1Plus / Rosie Baillie) - Max Chilton says he made the decision to sit out of the Belgian Grand Prix to help the team. On Thursday Marussia said reserve driver Alexander Rossi would race instead of Max Chilton while 'contractual issues' were resolved. Following a u-turn Chilton will now take part in the race. Chilton said he made the decision to give up his seat to try and help the team but that decision was changed overnight.
