Hamilton blames front brake issue

Lewis Hamilton says a glazed front brake issue cost him the chance of pole position for the Belgian Grand Prix. Championship leader Nico Rosberg took pole position as Hamilton failed to improve sufficiently on his final lap to beat his team-mate in wet conditions at Spa. However, Hamilton said he had been losing time due to a brake issue which he had been unable to rectify prior to starting his final attempt. “I had a glazed front left brake so the car was pulling to the right so there was nothing I could do on the out lap to try and get rid of that,” Hamilton said. “So I was struggling under braking.
