Mercedes confirm cause of Hamilton's Germany brake failure

style="margin: 0px; font-family: Helvetica;">   August 24th, 2014 (F1Plus / Rosie Baillie) - Mercedes and brake manufacturer Brembo have confirmed the cause of Lewis Hamilton's brake failure in Germany earlier this year.    During qualifying for the German Grand Prix Hamilton's front-right brake disc failed. He switched to Carbone Industrie brakes for the race as a precaution.    Mercedes and Brembo released a statement following extensive analysis which confirmed the cause of the failure.    "First of all, both parties can now confirm that the quality of the disc material was not a contributory factor," a statement from Mercedes...
