Case closed on Rosberg and Hamilton incident say FIA

The headline grabbing collision between Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton on lap two of the Belgian Grand Prix will not be further investigated by the FIA and as far as the sport's governing body is concerned the matter is closed. FIA spokesman Pierre Regent told media, 'The FIA will not intervene in this issue. Only a new element that would have appeared after the results became final could justify us opening an investigation.' In the aftermath of reports that Rosberg ‘admitted' clipping the rear tyre of Hamilton's Mercedes on purpose, the FIA added, 'A comment alleged to have been made in an internal briefing and later denied by the team itself does not constitute such a new...
