Whitmarsh finally leaves McLaren
Sutton Images Enlarge Ex-team principal Martin Whitmarsh has finally parted company with McLaren, the team has confirmed. Whitmarsh left his role at the start of the year after a disappointing campaign in 2013 and Ron Dennis' return to power as McLaren Group CEO over the winter. Eric Boullier was appointed as Racing Director and Jonathan Neale as the F1 team's CEO, but Whitmarsh remained under contract with the team. Earlier this year Dennis said he was looking for "a common and positive way forward" with Whitmarsh and the team has now confirmed an agreement has been reached. "McLaren and Martin Whitmarsh have agreed amicably to part company," a McLaren spokesman said....
