Button admits retirement is possible

Jenson Button admits he may be forced to retire from F1 at the end of the season if he's not offered a new McLaren contract. McLaren racing director Eric Boullier says the team is attempting to formulate a driver strategy for “three years and maybe five years”, while admitting that the uncertainty is “uncomfortable for the drivers”. Ahead of Honda's return it is understood that McLaren is keen on bringing Fernando Alonso back to the team from Ferrari. While no decision has yet been made, with protégé Kevin Magnussen only in his first season of F1 Button would be the more likely driver to make way if the line-up was to change.
