Rosberg handed 'six-figure fine'

Nico Rosberg was reportedly handed a "six-figure fine" by Mercedes for his role in the collision with Lewis Hamilton at Spa. The Brackley-based squad have had their hands full the past week after Rosberg made contact with his team-mate's left-rear tyre while trying to overtake him for P1 on lap two of the Belgian Grand Prix. Mercedes team bosses Toto Wolff and Paddy Lowe met with the two drivers at a high-level meeting on Friday to clear the air. A statement afterwards read: "Nico acknowledged his responsibility for the contact that occurred on lap two of the Belgian Grand Prix and apologised for this error of judgement.
