Pirelli calls for increased F1 testing ahead of 2017 rule shake-up

Formula 1’s official tyre supplier Pirelli has called for increased testing ahead of the proposed shake up of the technical regulations for the 2017 season.  While the exact technical regulations are still to be determined, F1 is set for its biggest rules shakeup since the introduction of the hybrid V6 turbo engines back in 2014. Teams will be restricted to just eight days of testing this season, but Pirelli is calling for more running as it looks to design its tyres for the next generation of grand prix car.
