Daniel Ricciardo hails Singapore 'perfect' despite missing out on win

Daniel Ricciardo believes he achieved the maximum in Singapore on Sunday, despite missing out on victory by just half a second to Mercedes' Nico Rosberg. The Red Bull driver hailed the race 'pretty much perfect' following a late strategy call to pit for fresh tyres in an attempt to hunt down Rosberg for the win, only to miss out by 0.488 seconds. 'It was close today,' he said. 'We did everything we could and I thought it was pretty much a perfect race. The only thing that would have been better was to get Nico at the start.
