Sergio Perez: “I’m very happy with our performance'

Sergio Perez believes his position of seventh for Sunday's Malaysian Grand Prix puts Sahara Force India in a strong position for points. The Mexican had a strong start to the Grand Prix at the Sepang International Circuit so far for the Silverstone-based outfit, finishing Friday sixth fastest. He puts this strong performance down to the recently renovated circuit, with the whole circuit being completely resurfaced along with changes to nine corners. Perez is pleased with his starting position on Sunday, even with a little mistake in Q2 that nearly cost him a place in Q3. “I’m very happy with our performance,' said Perez.
