Hamilton bags US GP pole to the annoyance of Rosberg

Lewis Hamilton claimed his first pole position at the Circuit of the Americas for the United States Grand Prix with a record lap that left title rival and championship leader Nico Rosberg ruffled on Saturday. Daimler AG/Mercedes Only Germans had grabbed pole in Austin before, with Rosberg claiming the top spot the last two years but he was denied a hat-trick after Hamilton lapped the track in 1 minute 34.999 seconds handing Mercedes its third straight pole at the venue.
