United States Grand Prix – Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg conceded that sector one was the main difference between their qualifying efforts in Austin. The challenge for pole position ended up being a contest between the two Mercedes drivers, with their nearest challengers falling several tenths behind on the timing sheets.
