Ferrari confirms Vergne no longer tester

– Jean-Éric Vergne is no longer a test driver at Ferrari, the team has confirmed to GPUpdate.net.Vergne joined Ferrari's driver pool in late-2014, after losing his race seat at Toro Rosso, working alongside then reserve driver Esteban Gutiérrez, and race drivers Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Räikkönen.He focused on car development in the simulator and carried out a demo in Adelaide in 2015.Ferrari recently signed GP2 runner-up Antonio Giovinazzi as its third driver, with the 23-year-old Italian tipped to replace injured Sauber racer Pascal Wehrlein at next week's opening pre-season test.Vergne has competed in Formula E since the inaugural 2014/15 season, racing for Andretti, DS...
