Retro F1 tech: The big shake-ups of the 2000s

Motorsport.com looks back at how changes to the Formula 1 regulations affected the landscape of the sport in the past. Part 3: the current era. The 2009 regulations were the biggest shake-up the sport had seen in a generation, with almost every aerodynamic surface refined to curtail downforce levels, while a switch back to slick tyres was intended to change the relationship between aerodynamic and mechanical grip.
