Vergne to enter WEC with Manor LMP2 team

– Ex-Formula 1 driver Jean-Éric Vergne will contest the LMP2 class of the World Endurance Championship with CEFC Manor TRS Racing in 2017, it has been announced.Vergne, who raced in F1 with Toro Rosso from 2012-2014, has recently been competing in the all-electric Formula E series, and currently represents the Techeetah squad.The Frenchman, 26, will now try his hand at endurance racing with a full WEC campaign, including the prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans.He will combine the WEC and Formula E moving forward."I'm extremely happy to join CEFC Manor TRS Racing for the WEC season," said Vergne."Endurance racing and especially the 24 Hours of Le Mans is something that has...
