Carlos Sainz believes that Mercedes’ engine modes are playing a key part in helping Williams lead the midfield pack in Formula 1 at the moment. Although Sainz’s Toro Rosso team are fourth in the constructors’ championship, the Spaniard thinks that it is Williams that holds a slight edge in both qualifying and the race.
