Was Hamilton's penalty deserved?

ave your say on Lewis Hamilton's race-costing five-second penalty in the Bahrain GP. The Mercedes driver was punished for slowing down Red Bull's Daniel Ricciardo as the pair approached the pitlane when the Safety Car was deployed for a crash involving Lance Stroll and Carlos Sainz. Hamilton knew that he would be 'stacked' behind team-mate Valtteri Bottas after the Finn entered the pitlane first. "There was not a lot of point in backing up Ricciardo," reflected Sky F1's Martin Brundle. "He had to stack so was going to be compromised and that's exactly why the regulation is there."
