Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel has been awarded ‘Driver of the Day’ for the 2017 Canadian Grand Prix after his fight back up the field. The four-time champion started in second place but dropped to fourth at the start, damaging his front wing after being clipped by Max Verstappen’s Red Bull. An earlier stop to replace his front wing dropped him to 18th place, but Vettel rallied back up the order on a two-stop strategy. He gained a place late on when his team-mate Kimi Raikkonen cut the final chicane, and was then involved in a close scrap with the Force Indias.
