Formula E sees circuit racing return to Switzerland

The FIA Formula E Championship will make history in the upcoming season - bringing circuit racing back to Switzerland for the first time in over 60 years, with the inaugural Zurich E-Prix set to take place on June 10. Circuit racing was banned in Switzerland in 1955 following the Le Mans disaster. Prior to that, Bremgarten had hosted a round of the Formula One World Championship since the series inception in 1950. Following the ban, Switzerland returned to the calendar in 1975 and 1982, but both races were held on the Dijon circuit in France.
