Gallery: 17 years ago, Michael Schumacher took the world championship for Ferrari

In the fall of 2000, Michael Schumacher delivered for the Tifosi. After 21 years since 1979, he fetched the world Formula 1 title for Ferrari. We present a gallery on this momentous achievement. October 2000, Suzuka: With the fall of the chequered flag at the Japanese Grand Prix, there was no stopping Michael Schumacher. The then 31-year-old was barely able to contain himself. With the victory in Suzuka, Schumi had become the Formula 1 world champion in 2000. For the Italian Formula 1 team with such a great tradition, a 21-year losing streak came to an end.
