Maria de Villota family reach agreement with Manor over crash

Maria de Villota's family have reached an agreement with the Manor F1 Team following her accident during a straight-line test in 2012, when the outfit was known as Marussia. De Villota was returning to the temporary pit area when she struck a lowered transporter tailgate, her helmet making direct contact. The Spaniard sustained serious trauma to her head and was left blinded in her right eye. Although De Villota remained involved with motorsport, she passed away a year after the crash, with a post mortum examination linking her death to the neurological injuries she suffered in the crash.
