Pirelli confirms tyre choices for Mexican Grand Prix

Pirelli has confirmed the selections made by drivers for next weekend’s Mexican Grand Prix. Formula 1’s sole tyre supplier, as per the upcoming event in Austin, has nominated the Ultrasofts, Supersofts and Softs, the three softest options from its five available compounds. Mercedes, Ferrari and Red Bull have differed in their choices, with the former taking an aggressive stance compared to its rivals, picking nine sets of Ultrasofts for Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas. Red Bull, meanwhile, has taken a relatively cautious approach, choosing just six sets of the purple-ringed compound from its allocation of 13 sets.
